Bonjour

I'm Lily and I'm a 17 year old student/blogger. This is my personal blog where you can take a glimpse into my find and life through my writing and photos. I cherish my family and friends. I have a passion for period films, anything vintage, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, sitcoms, nature, windy nights, meeting interesting people, performing on stage, blogging and reading novels. I am a romantic and will never lose faith in true love. I want the most out of life. More?

Wow, I cannot believe how fast January went! It’s kind of crazy to think that in 5 months, I’ll be graduating and actually going to university. I always knew this would happen but call me stupid, I never thought it would creep up on me like this. As scary as it may be, I am completely ready for a change of scenery and people.
I have a good feeling for this month. Strange as it may seem, I never really pinned February as “the month of love” even when I was in a relationship. Valentines Day has always just been another day for me. Maybe it’s because my parents never really celebrated it? Anyway, I am one of those people who believe you can celebrate love on any old day. Why should you shower your loved one with gifts on February the 14th as opposed to the other 364 days (or 365 in a leap year)?
For the first few weeks of this month, I will concentrate on my vocal and guitar lessons (which I am loving by the way! My teachers are both pretty cool), finish holiday homework (finish? More like start…) and focus on resting myself in preparation for the second semester of senior year. Time really does fly! Before I know it, I’m going to be on a plane back to Australia!
All I can really do is savour and enjoy the last few months of my high school experience. There is quite a lot going on next semester so enjoying myself shouldn’t be too difficult. I have my musical, the No Pop show and new courses to look forward to.
I’m thinking about getting a haircut tomorrow too. Can’t decide whether or not to get layers and whether and not to get bangs. Is it lame how I’m visualizing whether potential hairstyles would look good with a graduation cap?
