I'm Lily and I'm a 17 year old student/blogger. This is my personal blog where you can take a glimpse into my find and life through my writing and photos. I cherish my family and friends. I have a passion for period films, anything vintage, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, sitcoms, nature, windy nights, meeting interesting people, performing on stage, blogging and reading novels. I am a romantic and will never lose faith in true love. I want the most out of life. More?

I am so excited for this movie. The book definitely exceeded my expectations so hopefully the movie will also take my breath away!
I watched my first James Dean movie last night, Rebel Without A Cause, and I am OBSESSED with him now (seriously, recommend me some James Dean tumblrs!). I don’t think I’ve ever been so in awe of a male actor before (which is weird because I’m a teenage girl and it’s what we do). It not just that he’s handsome (those cheekbones…). There’s something about him that’s just so engaging on the silver screen. I seriously could not tear my eyes away from him in Rebel Without A Cause. I’m looking forward to watching the rest of his films sometime next week, definitely leaving one for the 8th, his birthday.
Now I’m going to download a James Dean wallpaper for my desktop…:)

Oh my god this movie. I don’t even know what to say about it except that it is my favourite movie I have seen this year so far. You just have to watch it to understand. Aibileen’s expression when talking about the death of her son will forever haunt me. If you are going to watch this, definitely prepare a box of tissues- you’re going to need it!

Just some notes I made for myself because I’m so awful with consistency.
I thought I’d share them with you guys because quite a lot of my followers like The Hunger Games haha <3 hope you like sorry about my horrible handwriting.
This is so cool! Having finished the books, all I can do is sit tight and wait for the movie.

Note: Please keep in mind that I have not yet read the book so perhaps my opinion of the movie may change after I do.
This movie is so beautiful. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely was not the best I have ever seen but the combination of the hauntingly tragic story line and accomplished acting makes it worthwhile. I’ll admit, I teared up on multiple occasions throughout and the ending just tore at my heartstrings. The cinematography and Paris setting was just exquisite.
I can’t say I really cared for Anne’s faux Yorkshire accent (or rather, lack of), but other than that, she did a great job. Jim Sturgess was just perfection- one intense piece of eye candy ;) I’m looking forward to reading the book but it might be a while before I get to since I have about 5 unfinished books on my plate.

One of my favorite movies ever! Keira Knightley was gorgeous in it. And James McAvoy? Just too perfect
Aww…call me cheesy, but my heart melted when I watched this kiss. One of my favorite movies ever

This photo of Audrey is sheer perfection <3
Top 5 favourite Audrey movies I have seen so far:
- Sabrina
- Funny Face
- Roman Holiday
- Charade
- Paris When It Sizzles
Surprised Breakfast at Tiffany’s is not on the list? While I do love that movie (it was the first I ever watched that starred Ms. Hepburn), quite a few of her lesser known works intrigued me more. What are your favourite Audrey films?
I stayed up watching Charade last night. I’m in love with the witty, quirky script and characters! The plot twist at the end was very surprising indeed. Or maybe I’m not perceptive enough?
Nevertheless, this is definitely one of my favourite Audrey films and I highly recommend it if you like crime and comedy all rolled into one
